2 oz. Cold River Traditional Gin
¾ oz. Averna
¼ oz. Benedictine
2 dashes Dutch’s ProhiBitters
La Veuve Verte Absinthe rinse
Stir first four ingredients with ice and strain into an Absinthe rinsed coup. Finish with a lemon twist.
A twist on the Merry Widow. I’d have called it The Black Widow if it wasn’t so obvious and there was already a shitty tequila drink with that name.
While I usually stick to easily attainable Absinthes for washes I couldn’t resist using DuVallon’s wonderful “Green Widow” for this wash. Just seemed right.
