It’s that Drawlloween Time of Year Again
As you may have noticed, I spent September catching up on all of the Drawlloween drawings that I missed last year due to surgery and such. That series told a very loose tale, based on the prompts, of three rat boys starting a band and hitting the road during this spooky holiday season. You can see all of the pics in the galleries on the Dralloween 2019 Page I set up on the site here. While you’re at it, feel free to check out the rest of the Artwork and stuff I have and let me know what you think, I can always use the motivation to draw more.
Finishing up the 2019 catch-up leads right into the current series for 2020 which I will also post here as I draw them as well as on my Instagram.
Looking back at all of the Drawlloween pics I’ve been doing since Drawlloween 2016, I think Drawlloween 2018 was, by far, my best art. I was drawing a lot more and taking classes back then and it really shows. Drawlloween 2017 was fun because I was starting to get my groove and last year’s Drawlloween 2019 was an exceptional challenge since I wanted to turn the prompts into a timeline, if not a story. I feel like I took a step or two backwards in my drawing skill and took for granted the fact that readers knew the boys already. I don’t think I ever named them in the 2019 series and the slightly different style I had to drawing them made it hard to tell Yebb and Oli apart. I’ll try a bit better.
Here is the original set of prompts for Drawlloween 2019. Hope you follow along.
